Fresh off a successful delegation led by InvestHK to the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), InvestHK is elevating its impact in proactively helping Hong Kong companies, including those from Mainland China or elsewhere with a HK presence, to expand globally. The Government welcomed the passage of the Stablecoins Bill by the Legislative Council on May 21 to establish a licensing regime for fiat-referenced stablecoins (FRS) issuers in Hong Kong, to further enhance Hong Kong's regulatory framework on virtual-asset (VA) activities, thereby fostering financial stability and encouraging financial innovation.

InvestHK announced that the eighth edition of the Global Fast Track 2025 is now open for applications until September 21. This year, the programme will be expanded to include other verticals in addition to fintech, unleashing business opportunities for more technology companies in Hong Kong and worldwide.

The CVAP aims to develop core competencies in virtual asset (VA) for financial services practitioners offering VA-related services. The programme is developed in consultation with industry practitioners and the Securities and Futures Commission.
